Price a DB board the same way, every time.
Cable by the metre with markup built in, glanding and termination saved as standard actions with their crews, elevated-work and confined-space multipliers - your whole price book in one place, instead of in three estimators' heads.
Free plan, no card. Built for plant, mine and factory work.
Sound familiar?
Every estimator prices cable differently
One works off last year's rate, one forgets the markup, one guesses the difficulty. Three numbers for the same reticulation job.
Glanding and termination get left off
The labour that actually eats the day (terminating, glanding, testing) is the first thing forgotten when a quote is built in a hurry.
Nobody can find what was sent
The client queries a price six weeks later and the original spreadsheet has already been overwritten twice.
Your electrical price book, built once
Set it up in an afternoon, then every quote pulls from the same book.
- Cable by the metre
- "Supply, install and gland 10 mm² cable" priced per metre: cost, purchase length and markup live on the product, so the selling price is calculated, not remembered.
- Standard actions with crews
- Terminate-and-test, gland, pull-in - each saved once with its standard crew, so the labour lines fill themselves in.
- Difficulty multipliers
- Elevated work ×1.25, confined space, after-hours: scale the labour (and optionally products) the same way on every quote.
- Product packs
- A DB-board kit or a surge-protection pack drops the whole bill of materials onto a line in one click.
- Site tree to the substation
- Mine → plant → substation captured on the quote, so the client sees exactly where the work is.
After the DB board is priced
The quote is where the electrical work starts, not where the record ends.
Certificates on the record
Cable bought against the cable quoted
Terminations on the clock

Electrical estimating - common questions
Can I price cable per metre with markup?
Yes. A product carries its cost, the quantity you buy it in, and a markup percentage; Quotier calculates the per-metre selling price and multiplies by the length on the line. Change the markup once and every future quote uses it.
How do difficulty multipliers work for elevated or live work?
You define levels like Standard ×1.0 or Elevated ×1.25. Applying one to a line scales its labour automatically, and you choose per line whether it scales products too. Allowances like travel are never scaled.
What happens to a quote after I send it?
The prices freeze. A later change to your catalogue rates never rewrites a quote a client already has. If scope changes, you revise: Rev 2 is a new document and Rev 1 stays on record.
Does the client accept the quote online?
They open a branded PDF from a link, and you see when they first open it. You record the acceptance against the client's order number, so there's always a paper trail on your side.
We're one of several contractors on a plant job - can we price it together?
Yes. The main contractor invites you onto the job; you quote the electrical scope from your own private account and share it up at the level you choose - total only, line titles, or full lines and prices. Your rates never leave your organisation unless you explicitly share them.
