About Quotier Quoting & job management software for industrial contractors
Built by Eleven27 Software Solutions in South Africa, Quotier is the single record of truth for industrial contractors - from the first enquiry and the master price book to on-site retention, variations and job costing.
Quotier is designed, built and maintained by Eleven27 Software Solutions (Pty) Ltd - a South African software company - as one of its products.
Our mission: eliminate spreadsheet chaos for contractors
Give the companies who do the physical work one place to run a job end to end - enquiry, quote, variations, invoices, retention, cost. That is what contractor job costing software should be: the record of the job is the job, not six places you have to reconcile.
Work of any size is rarely one company's work, so that promise crosses company lines: every subcontractor does their part inside the same job, from their own account, keeping their own prices and their own customers. Nobody retypes anybody's numbers.
A quote is a financial document and a promise to a client; it deserves better tooling than a copy-pasted workbook.
Our vision
Almost every project of any size is done by several companies at once. Almost no software accounts for that. Each business runs its own tools, and someone in the middle spends their evenings stitching the pieces together by hand.
We're building the opposite: work split across separate businesses, still priced and settled as one. Each company does its part in its own account, on its own terms, and the parts come together into one whole. That shape isn't unique to contracting.
The problem: outdated spreadsheets and untracked job costs
On most sites, quotes are still built by hand. Rates live in someone's head or an ageing spreadsheet, markups get missed, and every revision overwrites the last. Six weeks later nobody can say exactly what was sent.
Manual spreadsheets lead to quote overwrite errors, missed markups and uncollected retention. Quotier replaces Excel workbooks with a central master price book and automatic revision tracking.
Quotier replaces that with one price book: a catalogue you maintain once, and quotes assembled from it in minutes, with every sent price frozen on record.
Once the job is won, most contractors run blind: draws in one sheet, supplier invoices in a folder, timesheets on paper, and "did it make money?" is a question for the accountant months later. Quotier keeps score while the job runs.
Our core engineering & pricing principles
Explicit ZAR pricing & rounding accuracy
Labour, products, difficulty and VAT are calculated the same way every time and rounded to the cent - no surprise totals, no hidden formulas.
A sent quote must never change underneath you
The moment you send, prices are snapshotted. Updating a catalogue rate tomorrow doesn't rewrite a quote a client already has. Revisions are new, versioned documents.
Working together shouldn't mean opening your books
On a shared job, every company keeps its own private account. What crosses the boundary is a deliberate share at a chosen level - filtered before it leaves, never an open book.
The admin is our job. The work is yours.
Contractors are welders, electricians and fitters - not clerks. Every piece of Quotier exists to take a piece of paperwork off your desk: pricing, revisions, invoices, documents, the record.
Built to feed SARS VAT201 and your bookkeeper
A VAT201 working paper, a month-end pack, a gross-wages file: everything a bookkeeper or a payroll provider needs to do their job, and none of the parts that are theirs. No PAYE tables, no account codes, nothing submitted to SARS.
Refuse in words. Never silently zero.
Where Quotier can't honestly answer - a box on a return, a cost it has no rate for, a SARS detail it couldn't verify - it says so on the page instead of printing a number that looks like an answer.
Purpose-built for South African industrial & mining contractors
Anyone pricing composite work of labour, products and services - electrical and mechanical contractors, mining and industrial services, maintenance teams, fabrication shops and instrumentation - particularly those serving mines, plants and factories in South Africa.
It ships with ZAR, 15% VAT, site trees (Mine → Plant → Zone) and on-site allowances, because that is the work it was built for. It holds retention on the draws, records certificates and incidents on the site, and hands your accountant a month-end pack.
